Who’s Behind This?

RunRabbitRun is an ongoing adventure in tabletop roleplaying games.

About

RunRabbitRun hosts invitation-only thematic events in locations that evoke the spirit of the theme and inspire Game Masters and Players alike to settle into the theme.

We are best known for the Dead of Winter Horror Invitational—a weekend of horror RPGs played in a haunted gold rush era hotel.

Venues are intentionally chosen to create an immersive experience and give people visual reminders of the theme. Typically, people are required to stay at the venue in order to build camaraderie and inspire them to invest in the tone of the event.

Our events are small, boutique affairs with a maximum number of 36 participants. While we put some organizational trappings around them, at their heart, our gatherings are curated get-togethers of groups of friends.

Matt Steele is the organizer and host of RunRabbitRun events.

A long-time gamer, GM & someone different, Matt’s Chinese zodiac animal is the Rabbit.

The name RunRabbitRun is inspired by the trickster rabbit character from Matt’s traditional Chickasaw history, the term ‘running’ used for GMing games, and Run Lola Run—the “conceptually impressive” 1998 German film written & directed by Tom Tykwer.

Connecting through a shared experience.

One of the goals of RunRabbitRun events it to connect people who might not otherwise sit down at a table together. Whatever happened to create the tableau above, you can bet that it forged a connection between everyone involved.
